Ar sweater

The Ar Sweater is a classic raglan sweater inspired by Norse symbolism. The distinctive motif is based on the Ar rune, which is also knitted in white near the bottom of the body. Worked from the bottom up in four colours, it combines traditional elements with a modern look.

Each Ar Sweater is hand knitted to order. Warm, comfortable and made from Norwegian wool, it is ideal for everyday wear, cabin life and outdoor activities throughout much of the year.

NOTE: Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

Yarn

Rauma Fivel, 100% Norwegian wool. Running length per skein 50 grams = 100 meters.

Knitting the Ar sweater

The Ar sweater is knitted in the round, which means that instead of knitting back and forth in rows, you’ll be working in continuous circles to create a seamless garment. Knitting in the round is an efficient technique that eliminates the need for side seams, giving the jumper a smooth, even finish.
