Information

The Byfjorden Sweater is a classic and elegant raglan sweater featuring beautiful cables, knitted from the bottom up in Dale Kidsilk Erle. The cable pattern gives the sweater a timeless look, while the lightweight yarn creates a soft, airy fabric. The sweater becomes slightly looser in wear than the measurements suggest, as the cables naturally open up during use.

The pattern is designed for Dale Kidsilk Erle and is available in nine sizes from XXS to 4XL. It includes detailed measurements, yarn quantities and complete instructions for the cable pattern.

The pattern is available in Norwegian, English, Danish, Swedish and German.

Gauge

21.5 sts in cable pattern on needle size 4.5 mm = 10 cm
20 rows in height = 10 cm

Note! The sweater does not feel as tight as the gauge suggests, since the cable pattern makes the fabric stretch out in width when worn.

Knit with two strands held together.

The Byfjorden sweater is knitted from the bottom up. It is worked in the round, which means that instead of knitting back and forth in rows, you will work in continuous circles, creating a seamless garment. This method eliminates the need for side seams and gives the sweater a smooth, even finish.

This version begins with the body, followed by the sleeves. All pieces are then joined together, and the raglan yoke is worked. The sweater is finished with the neckline.
