Information
The Christiansands Sweater is a raglan sweater knitted in Viking Alpaca Storm, inspired by the history and origins of Kristiansand. It is worked from the bottom up using traditional Nordic colourwork, featuring an interpretation of King Christian IV's C4 monogram as the main motif. The year 1641 also appears as a subtle historical detail within the pattern. The pattern includes nine sizes from XS to 5XL. The sweaters shown in the photographs are size M. The pattern is also available in a children's version (ages 2–12).
The Christiansands Sweater combines local history with a timeless Scandinavian design, making it an excellent choice for knitters looking for a classic colourwork sweater with a story to tell. Viking Alpaca Storm creates a soft, warm and durable garment, perfect for everyday wear, outdoor activities and cooler days throughout much of the year. The raglan construction provides a comfortable fit, while the C4 motifs and the year 1641 give the sweater its distinctive character. The pattern is suitable for knitters with experience in stranded colourwork and raglan shaping.
