Information
The Hestholm Sweater is a colourful and distinctive sweater featuring detailed stranded colourwork in six colours. Shades of blue, yellow, grey and natural white stand out beautifully against the dark background, creating a design that combines traditional Nordic colourwork with a contemporary look.
The knitting kit includes yarn + digital knitting pattern for the Hestholm Sweater. The sweater is designed in Viking Wool, 100% Highland merino wool, a warm pure wool yarn that is particularly well suited to stranded colourwork.
Hestholm is a versatile sweater for everyday wear, outdoor adventures and leisure time. The pure wool makes it warm and cosy on chilly days, whether you are at the cabin, by the sea or simply looking for a warm sweater for autumn and winter. Its timeless design and classic fit make it suitable for both women and men.
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked separately before being joined on the same circular needle. The colourwork continues across the yoke while decreasing for the raglan shaping. The neckline is finished with a high ribbed edge that is folded to the inside and sewn in place.
The Hestholm Sweater features detailed stranded colourwork and is best suited to knitters with some experience of colourwork. You should be comfortable following charts and working with several colours at the same time. Some rounds are worked using up to four colours.

Knitting the Hestholm sweater
The Hestholm sweater is knitted in the round, which means that instead of knitting back and forth in rows, you’ll be working in continuous circles to create a seamless garment. Knitting in the round is an efficient technique that eliminates the need for side seams, giving the jumper a smooth, even finish.
