Scallop sweater (hand knitted)

The Scallop Sweater is a hand knitted oversized sweater featuring an elegant scallop motif around the body. Knitted in Viking Alpaca Bris, it is soft, lightweight and wonderfully warm, with a timeless look inspired by the sea.

Each Scallop Sweater is hand knitted to order in Viking Alpaca Bris. The soft alpaca blend creates a light and comfortable sweater that is perfect for wear throughout much of the year.

Knitting tension

16 stitches on needle no. 6 = 10 cm

19 rounds in height = 10 cm

NOTE! The needle size is only a guideline.

If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, switch to a larger needle. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, switch to a smaller needle.

Double pointed needles no. 4 ½ and 6 on circular needles 40 and 80 cm

Viking Alpaca Bris , 60% baby alpaca, 11% merino wool, 29% nylon. Running length per skein 50 grams = 150 meters

FROM BOTTOM UP

Here you start with the body, knit the sleeves and join all the pieces together. Then you knit the raglan with the entire piece on the same needle and finish with the neckline.

FROM TOP TO DOWN

Here you start with the neck, knit raglan and divide the work into sleeves and body when the raglan is finished. Then you knit the body first, then the sleeves.
