Perthro sweater (pattern)

The Perthro Sweater is knitted in Rauma VAMS. It is worked from the bottom up with raglan shaping and features five colours in the pattern. The pattern includes 7 sizes from XS to 3XL, and the sweater shown in the photos is size M.

Perthro is the name of one of the old Norse runes. The colourwork combines traditional Nordic motifs with a modern expression. Rauma VAMS is a soft and durable yarn made from 100% Norwegian wool, creating a warm and long lasting sweater. The pattern is suitable for knitters with some experience of raglan shaping and stranded knitting.

The pattern is available in Norwegian, English, German, Danish and Swedish.

Knitting the Perthro sweater

The Perthro sweater is knitted in the round, which means that instead of knitting back and forth in rows, you’ll be working in continuous circles to create a seamless garment.
