Information
The Urviga Sweater is a festive and lightweight sweater with a wide neckline and decorative eyelet raglan increases. It is knitted from the top down in Dale Kidsilk Erle together with Dale Bling effect yarn, making it an excellent project for using up leftover yarn. The pattern is available in nine sizes, and the sweater shown in the pictures is size XS.
The airy blend of mohair, silk, wool and glitter yarn creates a luxurious fabric with a subtle shimmer. The wide neckline and half length sleeves make the Urviga Sweater perfect for summer parties, warm autumn evenings or layering over a dress for an elegant look. The pattern is suitable for knitters with some experience of raglan increases and stocking stitch.
The pattern is available in Norwegian, English, German, Danish and Swedish.

TOP-DOWN
Start with the neckline, knit the raglan increases, and divide the work into sleeves and body once the raglan is complete. Finish the body first, then the sleeves.
About yarn usage and colour distribution:
The jumper shown is knitted in size XS and weighs approx. 175 grams. From size M and up, 5 balls of Dale Kidsilk Erle (50 g each) will usually be enough, regardless of length and colour layout.
This is an ideal project for using up scrap yarn – it doesn’t matter exactly how many centimetres each colour takes up. Feel free to use what you have and finish the body and sleeves with the colours you have the most of. The colour choices in the pattern are only guidelines based on the sample.
