Information
The Chunky Bjarkan Sweater is a warm and contemporary raglan sweater inspired by Norse heritage. Named after Bjarkan, one of the runes of the Elder Futhark, it combines traditional Nordic colourwork with a fuller, modern look. It is equally suitable for everyday wear, weekends at the cabin or cold winter days. The sweater is also available in a standard version.
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up with raglan shaping using one strand of Rauma Finull held together with one strand of DROPS Kid-Silk. The combination of Norwegian wool, mohair and silk creates a soft, lightweight and warm fabric with excellent stitch definition. The pattern is best suited to knitters with some experience of stranded knitting and raglan shaping.
The pattern is available in Norwegian, English, Danish, Swedish and German.
