Jor sweater (pattern)

The Jor Sweater is a colourful raglan sweater knitted from the bottom up in five colours using Hillesvåg Varde and Vidde. The pattern includes 7 sizes from XS to 3XL. The sweater shown in the photographs is knitted in size M. Jor is named after one of the Norse runes.

The colourful stranded pattern creates a vibrant yet timeless Nordic design. Hillesvåg Varde and Vidde are pure Norwegian wool yarns that produce a warm, durable and beautifully textured sweater. The pattern is suitable for knitters with some experience of raglan shaping and stranded colourwork.

The pattern is available in Norwegian, English, German, Danish and Swedish.

18 stitches x 22 rounds in stocking stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

The Jor sweater is knitted from the bottom up. It is worked in the round, which means that instead of knitting back and forth in rows, you will work in continuous circles, creating a seamless garment. This method eliminates the need for side seams and gives the sweater a smooth, even finish.

This version begins with the body, followed by the sleeves. All pieces are then joined together, and the raglan yoke is worked. The sweater is finished with the neckline.
