Information

The Langenes Sweater is a soft and easy to knit sweater worked in two strands of Dale Kidsilk Erle. It is knitted from the bottom up in seed stitch with half length sleeves and bold stripes. The pattern includes six sizes from XS to 2XL. The sweaters shown in the photographs are sizes S and L.

The Langenes Sweater combines luxurious softness with a timeless Scandinavian design. Inspired by the sea, smooth coastal rocks and bright summer days, it looks equally beautiful in subtle and bold colour combinations. The seed stitch creates a rich textured fabric, while the relaxed fit makes it perfect for everyday wear, summer evenings and cooler days throughout the year. The pattern is suitable both for knitters wanting to learn seed stitch and for more experienced knitters looking for an enjoyable project.

The pattern is available in Norwegian, English, Danish, Swedish and German.

Knitting the Langenes sweater

The Langenes Sweater is knitted from the bottom up. The body is knitted in the round up to the armholes, where it is divided again to shape the neckline and shoulders. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches along the armhole openings and worked in the round. The neckline is completed with a short ribbed collar. This method creates a seamless and comfortable garment with minimal finishing work.
